This picturebook was originally published in Latvian; we will read the Swedish version with översättning1 by Juris Kronbergs. 🎪 The word kiosk has roots in the Persian/ Farsi kūshk and the Turkish köşk.2 In Swedish, kiosk does not sound the same as it is in English. It has an SH sound: SHOW-SK. If you feel like diving deep into the theme of the picturebook, I have the following activity for you 🖍

• If you could design your own kiosk, what would it look like?
• What items would you sell from kiosken?
• Where would you place it? Any specific neighborhood or landscape?
